Inspect the particle example

Select Original or Particle outlines to compare the image with its numbered boundaries.

Click an object in the image, or select its number in the measurement table. The selected object’s diameter appears below the histogram. Change Include in distribution to update the count, median, table, and histogram together.

The table shows the selected object followed by three other objects. All 29 objects can be selected directly in the image.

Measurement reference

The example uses synthetic circular objects with known geometry and a calibration of 0.5 nm per pixel. ECD denotes the equivalent circular diameter of projected area. The histogram uses five 5-nm intervals from 5 to 30 nm.
